01 — Who’s behind Vailet

I trained to run a business. Computing was my hobby.

I’m Kike Palau. In a family-owned industrial business, I’ve experienced what it takes to sell, buy, manufacture and get everything delivered on time.

For years, our ERP felt like a Ferrari that never got out of first gear: getting information into it was hard, and making use of it was hard too.

I started building tools to change that. AI helped me move faster and bring together two parts of my life that had been separate. That is where Vailet began.

We listen to people, follow the work and discuss the opportunities together. With you, we choose an initial improvement and what it will take to address it.

We build and integrate the solution, test it with the people who will use it and make adjustments within the agreed scope.

04 — AI and R&D project management

Your project needs to move forward. I can help you lead it.

Perhaps you have an idea you want to develop. Or you already have a team, providers and a budget, but need someone to coordinate it all and help you make decisions.

I join the project to work with you and the people involved. We pin down what we want to achieve, what we need to research and how we will verify the results. From there, we organise the work, resources and schedule.

While the project is under way, I coordinate the teams and providers, review progress and the budget, and put blockers and outstanding decisions on the table. That way, you know where the project stands and what it needs to keep moving.

Funding is part of the project too.

I help you identify grants that fit, assess their terms and prepare the technical approach. I can also coordinate the application documents and the follow-up with whoever is handling the submission.

During my time in the UK, I worked as a Senior R&D Project Manager, helping companies fund and manage R&D projects, including within the European FP7 and Horizon 2020 programmes.
